This park, which is located in the middle of Jombang City, provides entertainment and recreation. The facilities are complete, including a variety of food stands and playground attractions. There is a history to the Kebon Rojo park; Nasrul Illah aka Cak Nas claims that Kebon Rojo was once a royal garden where rulers might rest, relax, or refresh themselves. Since the era of Empu Sindok in 929 or his descendants to Darmawangsateguh in 1085, or it may have been since the era of Airlangga in 1117, Kebon Rojo has existed.
The hills, tennis courts, and all of the trees have been replaced as the only buildings from the Dutch era to the present. Because deciduous trees, walnut, cypress, and palm oil trees are believed to have previously grown among the trees in Kebon Rojo Park.

Terdapat sejarah dibalik taman Kebon rojo ini yakni Menurut Nasrul Illah alias Cak Nas, Kebon Rojo adalah taman bagi para Raja-raja dahulu untuk sekedar melepas leleh, bersantai atau refreshing. Kebon Rojo ada sejak zaman Empu Sindok tahun 929 atau para penerusnya sampai Darmawangsateguh sekitar tahun 1085 atau bias juga zamannya Airlangga tahun 1117.
Banguanan yang masih bertahan dari zaman Belanda hingga saat ini yakbi gunning-gunungan, lapangan tenis, dan untuk pohon-pohonannya sudah diganti semua. Karena konon dahulu yang subur dan rimbun dengan pepohonan di taman Kebon Rojo adalah pohon beringin, kenari, cemara, dan melapa sawit.
Taman wisata Kebon Rojo menjadi pilihan utama sebagian besar masyarakat jombang untuk melepas lelah dan kepenatan setelah bekerja selama sepekan. Berkumpul dengan kelurga, yang dapat menjadi salah satu pilihan untuk menghabiskan liburan bersama keluarga.
